What a sweet and gorgeous couple these two are. Amy and Luke had a spiritual ceremony in the company of 200 guests at Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley, California.  They were both so excited to be getting married. Luke got ready with his groomsmen at Thomas Fogarty Winery. Photographer Angela Lang especially liked photographing them in front of the beautiful church doors that had the Biblical characters of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John carved into the wood which made a stunning background. Afterward, everyone headed over to the Garden Court Hotel in Palo Alto for an amazing and fun night of celebrating.

Angela Lang is a San Francisco Bay Area based photographer.  She has a B.A. in Photojournalism and has worked as a professional photojournalist. Her awards include 1st and 2nd place as well as 5th-16th in the Wedding Photojournalist Association's International competition. Her work has also appeared in newspapers, The Associated Press, Here Comes the Guide, The Knot, and inside Pottery Barn Kids catalog.  Angela says this about documenting weddings: "As a professional who has photographed more than 150 weddings, my job and my joy is to deliver images that will make you laugh, cry, and relive the emotions you felt on your wedding day . . ."

FOR THE LOVE OF LILLY

Swinging London Mod anyone?  Lilly Pulitzer's crocheted dress reminds me of an original 1960s Jean Shrimpton classic.  In fact Lilly has a whole section on her site dedicated to these little white dresses where you'll find everything from eyelet to crocheted lace to Jacquard.  Like her ad says, "grab your over-sized sunglasses and party like it's 1966!"

THE BOW WOW BRIDE

It's nice to know my six pound Chihuahua can get married in full bridal regalia if and when she meets the pooch of her dreams.  So far though, Piccalina is still living at home with the folks with no prospects in sight.  For all those little bitches out there taking the big plunge, this ensemble complete with organza dress and veil from Dog Glamour retails for 130.00.  You can also check out the, how adorable is that? groom attire in their wedding section.

WHAT'S NEW IN THE GOWN GALLERY?

  Thinking of having a tropical or beachy wedding?  This new lacey confection called, 'Emma' would be the star of any destination or seaside event. The border of Chantilly lace is hand-stiched to layers of tulle skirt worn over a luxe silk dupioni sheath. These gorgeous photos are the work of  Stuart Lirette a San Francisco Bay Area photographer specializing in location and wedding photography.  Also at this incredible shoot was hair designer, Kathie Rothkop of Salon Glam, creating the perfect summer/tropical/beachy hair.  Stay tuned for more on wedding hair.  In a  couple weeks we'll focus in on and take a closer look at some of Kathy's cutting edge hairstyling.
